After loosing her memory because she was knocked unconscious, her space pod landed on Earth. She was found by Bulma Briefs and was treated like if she was appart of the family. Appearantly, she forgot about her past and instead of being a cold blooded killer, she was a very sweet and perky person, not to mention a little flirty. Over the years, she developped feelings for Trunks but never understood them so tried to push them aside. A few years later, the androids attacked and Trunks was send to the past. Since he went for too long, Bulma and her began to worry so Bulma made another time machine and Sumiko voluntered to go. While in the past, she met Nikita, a fierce warrior and that is when her life began to change and she started to remember bit by bit her past.
